Some jobs only work on a website, signed in as you. Install the app and Tend does them on your computer, in your browser, the way you would. You can watch, and stop it whenever you like.

A couple of minutes, once.

Ask Tend

Ask from your phone, the way you always do. Tend tells you which computer it's using, and you can watch from anywhere.

While Tend works, the edge of your screen glows and a bar says what it's doing. You can stop it at any moment.

Press Esc to stop it

While Tend works, the edge of your screen glows. Press Esc and it lets go of your computer until you resume it. Try it here, on your own keyboard.

Tend uses one computer at a time. Pair yours and it uses that one. Remove it and Tend goes back to its own.

Questions

What does it need on my computer?

Permission to see the screen and use the mouse and keyboard. On a Mac that's Screen Recording and Accessibility, which macOS asks for once. It runs on macOS 13 or later, Windows 10 or 11, and most 64-bit Linux.

Can it see everything?

It sees the screen while it works, the same as you do. Files are different: it opens only the folders you chose, and Terminal stays off unless you turn it on.

What if I'm using the computer at the same time?

On a Mac, move the mouse and Tend waits, then carries on when you stop. You can also give it a workspace of its own beside yours. On Windows and Linux, press Esc and it waits until you resume.

Does it type my passwords?

Only ones you've saved with Tend, and only on the site each one belongs to.

What happens when my laptop is closed?

Tend can't reach it, and it tells you so. Jobs that need to run while you're away go on Tend's own computer in the cloud.

How do I remove it?

In the Tend app, go to Settings, then Tend's computer, and remove it. Then uninstall the app. Tend goes back to its own computer.
